Hi my wonderful friends! HAPPY SPRING!! I hope some spring weather has made it to where you are…I know that we need it here! Today, I am talking about my “Spring into Centers”/Spring Literacy and Math Centers! All of these centers are available in my TPT Store…Apples Alone…as individuals or as a bundle for a great discounted price! These centers come with recording sheets and are available in color and black & white as usual! I know us teachers are on a budget! **MAKE SURE TO READ TO THE END OF THIS POST TO GET YOUR SPRING FREEBIE!**
Just like my previous post, let’s start with reading! Yay reading!! My spring literacy centers include finding beginning sounds, matching CVC words to pictures, and spelling CVC words! Even though they are called centers, these activities can be completed in whole group settings and guided reading groups…therefore making differentiation a breeze! Let’s jump in!
“Spring into Sounds” requires students to match the pictures on the cute ducks…or chicks…whatever you prefer to call them…to their beginning sounds! All letters of the alphabet are included. This is a great center for students that still need practice this time of year…or a great centers for students that just need a little brain break.
“Spring into Words” require students to identify the picture and match it to the correct CVC word.
In “Spring into Spelling,” students identify a picture again, but this time they are required to spell the CVC word.
Alright…math is up next! My spring math centers include…adding, subtracting, and counting dominoes!
In “Spring into Counting,” students will count the dots of the dominoes and match them to the correct number.
“Spring into Adding,” requires students to look at the equations provided and see if the sums are true or false. What a great pocket-chart center!
“Spring into Subtracting,” (well I am sure you guessed it) have students look at subtraction problems and decide if they are true or false.
Ok…and now for the FREEBIE! Here is a “write the room” for you!
Thank you so much for visiting my blog and reading all about my Spring Literacy and Math centers! I hope you and your students enjoy these centers! Please tag me on Instagram (applesalone) if you use one of my centers!
Have a great day and remember that teachers can’t survive on apples alone! Take care of yourselves.
